The Lady Grace Mysteries

Aerialworx recently collaborated with Cottonwood Media to deliver a suite of meticulously planned aerial sequences for the upcoming BBC teen drama The Lady Grace Mysteries, the new television adaptation of the much-loved book series by Patricia Finney, Sara Volger and Jan Burchett.

Working closely with the director, DOP and wider creative team, our pilots and aerial camera crew translated the storyboarded concepts into dynamic, cinematic shots that elevated the visual narrative. Using the DJI Inspire 3 with the Zenmuse 8K Air camera system, we were able to capture precise, high-resolution imagery that matched the production’s creative brief and seamlessly integrated with the ground cinematography.

The series, led by newcomer Evie Coles as Lady Grace, was filmed across a range of atmospheric historic locations — including Brancepeth Castle and Raby Castle in County Durham. These dramatic settings provided an exceptional backdrop for the sweeping reveals, character-led aerial moments and motion-driven sequences our team was tasked with delivering.

It was a privilege to work as part of such a skilled and collaborative unit, ensuring each aerial shot enhanced the scale, tone and storytelling of The Lady Grace Mysteries. We’re excited for audiences to experience the results when the series airs on the BBC.
