Mission Survive with Bear Grylls

Aerialworx complete filming for the new series of Bear Grylls Mission Survive South Africa. Even the experiences of the film crew sound like a plot for a dramatic jungle adventure film. Operating from tents in the hot, dusty environment of the African bush brought challenges to both cast and crew. Aerialworx, with their Freefly Alta drone captured stunning shots from the cold and wet mountains to the hot heat of the Savanna. This drone was ideal for the job offering quick setup and packdown as we moved from one extreme location to another.

The filming locations were truly varied and changed quickly from hot to cold and vise versa. From the cold climate of the high mountains to the extreme heat of the coast. In South Africa, mother Nature is always in charge. Venomous snakes and scorpions underfoot in the rugged mountains and sharks in the turbulent sea, it truly isn’t a place for the foolhardy. With remote film locations demanding a walk of several miles across rugged inhospitable terrain. An amazing and enjoyable time was had by all.
