Damien Hirst – Houghton Hall Exhibition

Flying amongst and around Hirst’s monumental works — from towering anatomical figures to striking large-scale installations — our team used drones to reveal perspectives impossible to achieve from the ground. The aerial shots emphasised both the intricate detail of each sculpture and their relationship with Houghton’s historic architecture and landscaped grounds.

A key part of our contribution was the precision flying required to move seamlessly around the artworks, framing them against the hall’s dramatic backdrop while maintaining the necessary safety and respect for both the sculptures and the setting. Our CAA-approved Operational Safety Case (OSC) permissions allowed us to work closer than standard drone regulations normally permit, enabling us to capture intimate, cinematic shots that showcased the scale and presence of Hirst’s pieces within the landscape.

Working closely with the exhibition team, we delivered imagery that not only documented the artworks but also brought them to life on screen, conveying the sense of awe and impact intended for visitors to the show.

We are proud to have contributed to this extraordinary cultural event, combining our aerial expertise, specialist permissions, and creative approach to help present Damien Hirst’s vision at Houghton Hall.
