OPPO Marvel Commercial
We were approached by Kode Media in March 2021 for the filming of this Oppo Marvel mobile phone commercial. Having flown extensively from the Cunard building and Royal Liver building, as well as the Pier Head for various other productions ranging from BBC Coast to Vodafone commercials, our skills were well suited to this project.
For this production and the challenging location, the camera choice was the Arri Alexa Mini. We prepared our Freefly Alta 8 heavy lift drone with our Arri Alexa Mini camera, the DOP’s Tokina zoom lenses, our Arri WCU4 lens control system with 2 Arri CForce Mini motors for remote camera and lens aperture and zoom control.
The flights were carried out from a small space on the roof of the Liverpool Port building. Working closely with the producer, DOP and VFX team we captured plate shots from various angles and achieved amazing results which can be seen in the final commercial.
Kode Media ?
Kode Media was formed in London in 2012 by 5 best friends. Inspired by others but not wanting to follow decades of trends, which in some ways desperately need a change, they set up the company straight out of University with a view to offer the industry something different.
Released in April 2021.
