Lockerbie

Lockerbie

A look back in time to the incredible true story of Britain’s deadliest terrorist atrocity and the most fatal terrorist attack on British soil – the destruction of Pan Am flight 103, when 270 people lost their lives as an explosive device detonated in the skies over Scotland on the night of December 21 1988. The aftermath of that destruction left a scar on the quiet Scottish village of Lockerbie that will never be forgotten. The documentary hears deeply personal accounts from individuals closely linked to the disaster and the years long investigation that followed it.

Sky Factual teamed up with Louis Theroux and Mindhouse to undertake the challenge to tell this story. With access to victims’ families, investigators, intelligence officers and other key figures who have not spoken until now, the series examines unanswered questions and explores the truth behind the atrocity, providing a definitive account of the bombing, its aftermath and ultimately, who was responsible.
