Ferguson: Never Give In: The Movie

Universal Studios, DNA Films (Trainspotting and Ex Machina) and documentary specialists Passion Pictures (Searching For Sugar Man) have teamed up to make this feature length documentary about the infamous Sir Alex Ferguson, one of the greatest sports managers of all time. The documentary will be directed by Ferguson’s son, Jason Ferguson, who will make his feature directorial debut with the project. The film has been in development for two years and it’s going to be EPIC!

With unrestricted and exclusive access to Ferguson, his family and closest friends, the film will chart the manager’s early years growing up in the working-class shipbuilding district of Govan in Glasgow, via the ‘Theatre of Dreams’ at Old Trafford where he achieved unparalleled success on the football pitch, to the ICU ward at Salford Royal hospital where he was recently treated for a near-fatal brain haemorrhage.

Working closely with Jason for the duration of the filming we were able to give full consideration to the various exclusive filming locations and capture some truly stunning shots over a number of months. It was an honour and delight working with Jason who was a professional and down to earth producer with imaginative ideas and realistic expectations. We really cant wait to see the finished production.
